How to NAIL your New Years Resolution

Working a full time job
and maintaining a
healthy, active lifestyle is one of the toughest challenges people face. That’s why so many
people make it a point to make their new year resolutions fitness related, whether it’s joining a gym or increasing your daily intake of cardio. If one of your goals for the new year is fitness related, keep reading on to find helpful tips to achieve your
fitness resolutions.

Pack your Gym Bag the Night
Before: One of the best things you can do in advance to prepare for your workout is to pack your gym bag in advance. This will make it that much easier to head to the gym whether you’re planning to go there in the morning or during your lunch hour. As for
a change of clothes, one of the best things you can do is pack a pants and a shirt
that won’t wrinkle. Along with a change of clothes, make sure you pack all the necessary toiletries
to make your transition from the gym to the office as stress-free as possible.

Have Your Workouts Scheduled:
Whether it’s a schedule that you create yourself or a gym class you’ve signed up for, having a schedule to stick to is one of the best ways to keep yourself motivated.

Utilize your Lunch Hour:
Your lunch hour is a great way to take a break from your desk and implement fitness into your day. Depending on whether you have a 30 minute lunch break or a whole hour, getting the tiniest bit of cardio into your day can make a huge difference not only for
your physical health, but for your mental health as well.

Have a Partner: Having a
gym partner to hold yourself accountable and keep you motivated is one of the best ways to keep yourself going back to the gym. A gym partner can be a way to keep yourself challenged and also possibly learn new workouts from. If your plan is to go to the gym
during your lunch break, see if there are any co-workers in your office looking to accomplish the same thing. If not, friends and/or family members always make great partners for the gym.
